Kingsgate Kitchen operate the catering, bars and events at Chapel Gate sports club, Parley, Christchurch.
Our Story
Kingsgate Kitchen is a family-run business. Ricky King, (self-proclaimed ‘Head Honco’) directs the business with four decades of experience in corporate hospitality and events, with his focus being food and business development. Ricky is supported by his son-in-law, Craig who grows and executes the bar operation, and, of course, Jackie (Mrs King) and daughter Laura, all contributing to Kingsgate’s smooth running, success and operation.
Chapel Gate
Chapel Gate, based next to Bournemouth Airport, is a sports facility and home to a variety of sports including football, rugby, hockey, cricket, squash, table tennis, archery and rifle shooting.
The overal site/campus, is managed by BU Community Business, Chapel Gate. It is also the main playing venue for the University’s sports’ teams, and many premier Bournemouth based sports teams.
Whilst Chapel Gate is well known for sports, including hosting the world’s largest sport and music festival, Bournemouth 7s, it is also an ideal setting for any occasion, including both private and corporate events.
The clubhouse is open to all guests, no membership is required. Events can be hosted in our main bar, lounge or garden room with the choice of high-standard catering options.
Kingsgate Kitchen cater for major events such as parties, weddings, family occasions, wakes and other organised activities.
Weddings
Chapel Gate is a great venue for that special day. Out of town, open space, amazing value and a blank canvas to dress our environment to reflect your personalities and tastes. Our Wedding breakfast, options include classic three course lunches. BBQ’s, Hog roasts, Paellas, and Buffets. Enhance that special experience with our established suppliers for floristry, photography and entertainment.

Wakes
Our team are on hand to offer you support as well as organise the after funeral activities, in The Garden Room, which is a quiet setting for wakes, memorials and celebrations of life. We are located within a short drive of Bournemouth Crematorium and North Cemetery.
Corporate Events
Our internal rooms and external space are available for training sessions, away days, team building exercises with, room-only, hire by the hour, half day or full day with various catering packages. Projectors and screens included.
Off-Site Catering
Kingsgate Kitchen specialises in delivering catering outside of Chapel Gate for your event. We provide the same amazing dishes transported in our refrigerated vehicles to a venue of your choice

When catering is booked via Kingsgate Kitchen at Chapel Gate (T’s & C’s apply), we are pleased to offer free room hire. As a professional caterer we pride ourselves on our Five Star EHO rating, management of special diets, allergens and Natasha’s law compliancy and this is why we are the exclusive caterer at this venue and take away these tasks from you to enjoy your special event.

The main bar at Chapel Gate is a sports centric destination and venue, that is open to all customers, public and members. We are open when teams and individuals are training and playing on site, so our opening hours echo these days and timings, alongside pre-booked events and the sporting calendar.
